Christmas in Old Town 
A New Mexico custom that has been gaining popularity is the lighting of luminarias, candles set in sand in paper bags. They are said to light the way to the Christchild. Albuquerque's Old Town, where this photograph was made, has hundreds of luminarias, lighting the square and this church.
