Dr. Holland uses tiny instruments to remove the cataracts that have blocked Julia's vision. As the operation ends, the Cuban doctors reacted with applause. When Nancy is brought to see the operation's final stages on a monitor, she replies, "That's Julia's eye. Isn't it beautiful?"
