	More than 30 years earlier, Amos Lane gave this whale talisman, made of walrus ivory, to fellow Point Hope whaling captain Patrick Attungana, who faithfully attached it to each new umiak skin covering. After taking over whaling activities from his father, Henry Attungana did the same.
