After the Bombing

June 30, 1999 - American KFOR
soldiers wave at ethnic Albanian
Kosovars from the top of their
vehicle in Gnjilane, some 70 kms.
from Pristina. The Kosovars have
been painting graffiti on the walls
by the roadside reading "Thank
you America, Danke Deutschland, Merci France," among others.

Dried blood forms the Serbian Cross with four
C's on an outbuilding of a mosque in a small
village near the American KFOR headquarters
Gjilan. The mosque was destroyed and written
on the mosque was "Serbia" although villagers
had chipped off the dried blood.
