A mid-term stump for local candidates in 1970 brought Vice President  Spiro Agnew to Wichita, Kansas.  The campaign trail seemed to be the place the Vice President was at his most effective.  I saw him speak to all sorts of people - from student  hecklers who would  force him to deviate from his text to staunch supporters who would greet him with roars of adulation.  But I wanted to capture him in a private moment, because away from the public he was always a soft-spoken person.
