Jackie Judice- New Iberia, Louisiana

My community is a part of me, especially in this area we have a different kind of special culture, and it's important to me that that survives, because I think it's a great place and a great way to raise your children. Fortunately, we live in a community that not run over by urban development, and industry is not really big here, so we have a real rural atmosphere, and I would love to see it stay that way.  You know when your family has been doing something for 200 years, there's a feeling of just being a part of it.  I feel I was born of the soil and if you believe in Christianity, I guess we are. The God I believe in doesn't really take a hands-on approach.  He furnishes man with the opportunity and he either takes advantage of it or he screws it up.  Like we're well known for doing sometimes.  But that's my opinion.
