I read out in the field, and to me that's a pretty interesting and exciting idea.  Even in modern science, which is supposedly divorced from spirituality, we have in quantum mechanics and physics the concept that all matter really is energy at the finer level.  It dissipates into energy and ultimately is nothing but consciousness.  So there is that connection that the human mind has that connection through consciousness with energy.  I think that is the opening that we can see to experience the land in a different way.  We tend to separate spirituality into something we do on Sunday at church, and frankly I don't do that religion part of things.  To me the essence of spiritual experience is experiencing the more subtle qualities of life and nature as well.

Jersey cows enjoy the rich variety of grasses and clovers.

Farming and ranching is not easy, but there is a love for their work, their families, and intimate relationship with the land that drives these people to get up every day and find ways to make food production profitable.
