Tom and Linda Tranthum - Pelzer, SC

There was no way I could see making it. I had fought the drought, the army worms and the low prices...I was unable to finance to borrow the money to buy the fertilizer, and the chemicals and the seed I needed for the next crop. I felt like I had just come to an end, but for some reason the cows - I put them over to a pasture that I thought was a good pasture. The cows laid down in it and didn't eat...I was so aggravated that I just threw down the gate and said "Do whatever you want to do." And they did. They all went somewhere else, but they all started eating.

I realized that maybe the system we're doing here isn't the only way or the right way. As the cows moved I noticed that they went ot lusher, more tender plants. My teaching was drawn to that...I opened the gates and let the cows go everywhere they wanted to go...my milk went up a couple of pounds. I was inspired to keep watching the cows and visualize what was going on more and I think for some reason, I think the good Lord has wanted me to be here.
